Billie Eilish is making headlines after one of her dedicated fans climbed to the top of a television tower to wave a flag that read “Free Billie Eilish.”

The fan sat at the top of the KTLA tower in Hollywood, California, which is approximately 162 feet off the ground, for several hours to share his freedom sign as all while playing his electric guitar.

Along with the statement “Free Billie Eilish” the back of the sign also appeared to read “MK ultra sex slaves donald marshall clones.”

Eilish has yet to respond or comment on the fan’s stunt.

What does “Free Billie Eilish” mean?

It is currently unknown what the man’s sign was referring to or implying due to the fact that there have been no rumours or talks of Eilish being controlled in her career.

The “Ocean Eyes” singer seemed extremely happy and energetic when she made a surprise appearance during her friend Labrinth’s Coachella set this past Saturday.

Fans react to the sign

Since the news of the “Free Billie Eilish” sign came out, fans have taken to Twitter to get the hashtag trending and voice their opinion on the stunt.

One user wrote: “i had this crazy dream last night that someone climbed the ktla tower with a sign that said free billie eilish”

While another user wrote: “Billie Eilish, sleeping peacefully as “FREE BILLIE EILISH” trends, not knowing she needs to be set free.”

Did the man make it down to safety?

ABC revealed that the report initially came through after the fan was spotted on Sunset Boulevard and Bronson Avenue near Van Ness Avenue.

Once authorities arrived, they blocked off the main access points to the pubic and attempted to reason with the man to come down to safety.

At around 9:30 p.m., the fan finally came down on an LAFD ladder and was quickly arrested for trespassing.

Both his identity and mental health evaluation have yet to be revealed.
