JAMES BOND
Why you won’t see Rachel Weisz work with husband Daniel Craig again
The couple have been married since 2011, but it seems Rachel Weisz is keen to keep their work and private life separate.
Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig have worked on several projects in the past, but the actress says fans shouldn’t expect to see the married couple on screen together anytime soon.
Weisz explains why she wants to work separately from Craig
Weisz dated Darren Aronofsky from 2001 to 2010, with the couple announcing in 2005 that they were engaged. However, after welcoming a son, Henry, in 2006, the two announced that they had gone their separate ways in November 2010, while adding that they remained close friends.
Soon after, Weisz began dating Craig, with the couple getting married in June 2011 in a private ceremony.
When it comes to acting, they first worked together in 1994 for the play ‘Les Grandes Horizontales’ at the National Theatre Studio in London, and later starred in the 2011 movie ‘Dream House’, before once again working on the 2013 Broadway show ‘Betrayal’.
Although the two have worked together in the past, Weisz explained why that likely won’t happen again in the future.
“I think we aren’t going to (co-star) at the moment,” said Weisz on ‘Sunday Today’. “We really love our private life as a life, as a family. And then we go to work separately.
“I can stay home with the family while he works. We can swap out. If we’re both doing something at the same time, it’s probably less ideal.”
Weisz and Craig share a four-year-old daughter, but have yet to share her name. Craig also has a grown daughter, Ella, from his first marriage to Fiona Loudon.
