Why aren’t Supplemental Security Income payments being sent in July?
As mentioned above, recipients of the SSI program receive their payments on the first day of each month. However, if the first day of the month falls on a weekend, payments are sent in advance. This is the case in July.
Because the first day of July falls on a Saturday, the SSI payment for that month is advanced and sent from June 30. That’s why SSI recipients get two payments in June, but don’t have a payment scheduled for July.
