The 2024 LPGA Tour draws to a close this week at Tiburón Golf Club in Naples, Florida, with the CME Group Tour Championship, one of the most lucrative tournaments in the history of women’s golf.

2024 CME Group Tour Championship’s record prize money

While there was a bigger overall purse at June’s US Open ($12 million), the winner on Sunday will take home $4 million of the $11 million on offer to the entire field, the largest first-place payout ever in the women’s game.

The top 60 players from the Race to the CME Globe, which includes all of the top 10 players in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings. are taking part in the event.

Nelly Korda bidding for eighth win of 2024

World No. 1 and seven-time 2024 winner Nelly Korda is the star attraction, fresh from winning The ANNIKA last week, her first victory since May. As a a result of her superb early-season form, the 26-year-old cannot be overtaken at the top of the Race to the CME Globe standings.

However, unlike the men’s Tour Championship and FedEx Cup, every player in the field this week starts at even par, which means she could quite easily be pipped to the CME Group Tour Championship.
