Emmanuelle “Emman” Atienza, the daughter of Filipino television presenter Kim, has died at the age of just 19-years-old.
The teenager was a popular figure in youth culture, working as both a content creator and Sparkle artist, as well as being a well-known mental health advocate.
The family confirmed the death via a statement on Instagram, in which they said:
It’s with deep sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our daughter and sister, Emman.
She brought so much joy, laughter, and love into our lives and into the lives of everyone who knew her. Emman had a way of making people feel seen and heard, and she wasn’t afraid to share her own journey with mental health. Her authenticity helped so many feel less alone.
To honor Emman’s memory, we hope you carry forward the qualities she lived by: compassion, courage, and a little extra kindness in your everyday life.
At the time of writing, nothing regarding the nature of Emman’s death has been confirmed.
Sparkle paid tribute to Emman, saying in a statement: “Sparkle GMA Artist Center deeply mourns the passing of Emman Atienza. Our sincere condolences go out to her family and loved ones. She will always be remembered as a cherished part of the Sparkle and Status by Sparkle family.”
