Check whether your flight is delayed or canceled
Given the risk of cancellations or delays, it’s advisable to check the status of your flight ahead of time. You can do this on your airline’s official website or app – such as Delta, American Airlines, United, or Southwest. In the “Flight status” section, enter your flight number or route along with the travel date. It’s also important to turn on notifications so you receive alerts about any changes.
The Federal Aviation Administration’s official website also provides information on airport delays, and platforms such as FlightAware, FlightStats, FlightRadar24, and FlightView can be very useful tools as well.
