Aurelio Rojas, cardiologist: “If you eat spinach, you will regulate your autonomic nervous system and prevent mild arrhythmias”
The health professional has shared a video on TikTok in which he talks about the three best foods to deal with tachycardia and palpitations.

Palpitations or episodes of rapid heartbeat are caused by abnormal electrical signals in the heart, leading to fast, strong, or irregular beats that can be felt in the neck, chest, or throat. They’re often triggered by stress, caffeine, physical activity, or individual health factors.
Many people turn to conventional medication to manage these sensations, though long‑term use can sometimes have drawbacks. For that reason, cardiologist and social‑media creator Aurelio Rojas shared a TikTok video highlighting three foods that may support heart rhythm as part of a balanced diet.
#palpitaciones #estres #taquicardia #aguacate #kefir #espinacas

“If you have palpitations, anxiety, or a racing heart without a clear reason, you don’t always need a pill — sometimes what you need is on your plate,” he said. He described the case of a patient who came to him with nighttime tachycardia: “She was exhausted, stressed, and had hidden deficiencies that an EKG doesn’t detect. The key was in what she wasn’t eating.”
Magnesium, spinach, and kefir: the highlights
Rojas first points to avocado, rich in magnesium, potassium, and monounsaturated fats, which he says can help the heart beat steadily and efficiently. Second on his list is spinach, packed with magnesium and folates that support the autonomic nervous system and may help reduce mild arrhythmias. Finally, he recommends natural kefir, noting that it supports gut health and serotonin production, which may help reduce stress‑related heart overactivity.
“The heart has its own electrical language,” he concludes, “and sometimes it just needs the right nutrients to restore it.”
