Police footage captures car flying 120 feet through the air over tow truck
Bodycam footage has gone viral which captured the moment a car launched itself off the ramp of a tow truck and flying though the air at high speed.
In a video which has now gone viral, we can see the moment a car launched itself off of the ramp of a tow truck and went flying through the air on a highway in Georgia.
The video was captured on the bodycam of a Lowndes County Sheriff’s officer as they were there responding to an accident which occurred on Highway 84. The accident occurred on May 24. In the video, you can see police officers standing on the median of the highway next to a flipped car.
One officer starts to walk towards the car, but another car starts speeding towards a tow truck parked on the other side, launches itself off the ramp, and flies through the air at 120 feet, and lands on the highway, hitting another car in the process and causing it to be thrown another 23 feet, but landing in the upright position.
Did the driver of the car that launched itself off a tow truck survive?
The officer then runs towards the car and can be heard requesting emergency medical assistance. Debris was scattered along the highway and one officer had to be taken to the hospital after being hit by some of it. The driver of the car that launched itself on the tow truck survived, but is in the hospital with serious injuries.
