Chad McQueen, an actor famous for his role as Cobra Kai ‘Dutch’ in the first two ‘Karate Kid’ movies and a pro race car driver, has died at the age of 63.
Chad McQueen, who gained fame for his role as Cobra Kai “Dutch” in the first two movies of the “Karate Kid” franchise, has died at the age of 63.
The actor, the son of Steve McQueen, was also a professional race car driver. McQueen followed the footsteps of his famous father not only as an actor but also as a racer.
His death was announced on social media by his family.
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our father Chad McQueen,” his wife Jeanie and two children Chase and Madison posted on Instagram.

“His remarkable journey as a loving father to us, along with his unwavering commitment to our mother, truly exemplified a life filled with love and dedication,” the statement continued.
“His passion for racing not only highlighted his exceptional talent, but also served as a way to honor his father’s legacy, a testament to the values instilled in him. He passed his passion, knowledge and dedication down to us and we will continue not only his legacy but our grandfather’s as well.”
“As a family we need to navigate this difficult time and we kindly ask for privacy as we remember and celebrate his extraordinary life,” the family’s post concluded.
Chad McQueen dies at 63: What was the cause of death?
According to TMZ, McQueen died at his ranch in Palm Desert, California as a result of organ failure, as reported by his long-time attorney, Arthur Barens. TMZ sources disclosed that the actor suffered an injury a few years ago which led to progressive organ failure that eventually led to his death.
