Chef arrested for stealing these secret recipes
Carlos Gottberg, a chef who worked at the Mordisco restaurant in Doral, was arrested for stealing secret Venezuelan recipes.

The name Carlos Gottberg is making headlines in Florida. The 50-year-old was arrested for stealing three secret recipe books from Mordisco, a Venezuelan restaurant in the Doral area.
According to local reports, Gottberg previously worked as a cook at the restaurant, which made it easier for him to access and steal the books. The theft was captured on the premises’ surveillance cameras. When employees noticed the missing documents, the owners quickly reported the crime to authorities, who launched an investigation.
A review of the footage revealed that the first two books were stolen on Sunday, October 12, and the third on October 19. When questioned, Gottberg offered no resistance and immediately confessed, leading detectives to the location where he had hidden the documents. Because the theft involved trade secrets, he was transferred to the Turner Guilford Knight (TGK) Correctional Center.
Miami-Dade bail court later fined him $2,500, but the trade secret theft charges remain on his record. Reports note that these charges could carry severe penalties.
