Ciro, a 12-year-old boy, saves up to buy a 3D printer and starts his first business: “The idea is to make parts to order”

In Banfield, Buenos Aires, Argentina, the passion for creating has a name: Ciro Joaquín Boggiano, a 12-year-old who has decided to turn curiosity into a small business. His story began almost without him realizing it, the day he saw a 3D printer in action and blurted out the phrase that changed his routine: “I want one of those.”

From bracelets to 3D printing

From that moment on, nothing slowed Ciro down. He taught himself through tutorials, saved every peso he received for his birthday, and even started selling handmade bracelets to raise the money he needed. His goal was clear – buy a printer and start creating.

That dedication soon paid off. Ciro bought his printer, opened an Instagram account (@printer.3d.cb), and began taking orders from friends and family. What started as a hobby quickly became a business, and he has even begun doing live demonstrations of his work.

The future runs through printing

For Ciro, the magic is in the process: “Starting a project from scratch and seeing the finished product, just as good as – or better than – you imagined it,” he says, with the confidence of someone who knows this is only the beginning. His goal is to grow, reach more people, and offer customized pieces.

For now, he works mainly for people he knows, but his idea is to take made-to-order requests and keep learning. With attitude, creativity, and perseverance, this young entrepreneur shows that passion has no age – and that sometimes, it’s printed in 3D.
