Concern growing over King Charles III’s health: Funeral preparations underway

Shortly after the death of Elizabeth II, UK authorities began to organize what was known as “Operation Menai Bridge” for the newly crowned British monarch.

Shortly after the death of Elizabeth II, UK authorities began to organize what was known as “Operation Menai Bridge” for the newly crowned British monarch.

Seven long decades the son of Elizabeth II had to wait to see himself as monarch of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth, a time of contradictions, since, on the one hand, he wanted to make a profound renewal in the Crown, expressing his deep ecological convictions, and, on the other hand, the throne meant the death of his mother, who had sworn to serve the people until the end of her days.

But since he became Charles III, the king seems to have been hit with a series of tragic events, as if a jinx was chasing him or karma wanted to teach him a lesson for his double life while he was married to Lady Diana. Kate Middleton disappeared at the beginning of the year, undergoing surgery at the same time as he was undergoing surgery for an enlarged prostate at the London clinic, and it was later reported that he had cancer, without revealing what type.

After this, and after a brutal public relations snafu while trying to hide the reality, the Princess of Wales revealed that she was suffering from the same disease (without determining which part of her body it affected). Sarah Ferguson, the ex of Elizabeth II’s favorite son, Prince Andrew, also suffers from skin cancer.

And, as if that were not enough, added to this were the controversies with the Sussexes, the suicide of the son-in-law of the prince of Kent and even the death by overdose of Princess Eugenia’s first boyfriend. In short, as Lilibeth herself would say, an annus horribilis after what she experienced when Windsor burned.

And it could even get worse. American tabloids are speculating that the king’s health is not as good as what The Firm would initially like to convey to the people. Such would be the case that the institutions are reportedly actively preparing for an imminent funeral.

Operation Menai Bridge

The Daily Beast has set off alarm bells by publishing that the king’s health is deteriorating faster than expected, and that the situation of Camila’s husband is “not good”. “Everyone is staying optimistic, but he is really very unwell. More than they are letting on,” says a source who said they are old friends the royal family. For its part, Buckingham Palace has not commented on the matter.

The outlet reports that the monarch’s determination is still intact and he is going to fight to recover, but, in the eent that this is not the case, his funeral is being prepared, known as “Operation Menai Bridge”, as it was explained to The Daily Beast by a former member of the royal household.

The name of this funeral protocol has its origins in the fact that the code names for these operations always bear those of famous British bridges. In this case, the Menai is the one that connects the island of Anglesey with Wales, completed in 1825, almost two centuries ago.
