Then, while they were waiting for their food, Tim Dynes started scratching off his Diamond 8 Scratcher ticket and when he finished, he realized he had won $1 million. “Do you know how hard it was to keep a straight face? Nobody knew I won – not even my wife until I told her on the drive home,” said the husband in the interview granted to the California Lottery.

Tim Dynes also said that he buys Scratchers frequently because he likes to play a lot, but he has never won so much money. It was the first time he “ hit it big” and he couldn’t believe it. While the owner of the minimarket called “G’s Food Mart” was very happy because he will receive $5,000 for selling the ticket.

The Diamond 8 Scratcher is one of the best sellers in the United States because they only cost $10. The odds of winning $100 are 21 in 1. That is why many people frequently buy it in search of winning the jackpot of $1 million, as happened to Tim Dynes.
