Mystery of Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 continues: Malaysian government plans to reopen investigation
The Malaysian government is set to allow renewed efforts to search for Malaysian Airlines flight MH370, which disappeared more than ten years ago.

It’s been more than a decade since Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 bound for Beijing took off from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia and mysteriously disappeared from radar.
The plane and the bodies of its 239 passengers and crew members were never found, despite the largest-ever multinational air-sea search that cost over $150 million.
Now, the Malaysian government is about to allow a private operation to renew the search for the missing airplane, believed to have crashed into the southern Indian Ocean.

Malaysian Transport Minister Anthony Loke has announced that marine robotics company Ocean Infinity will resume the search it had previously led in 2018.
Loke says the firm will focus its efforts on another area in the southern Indian Ocean based on the latest research and analyses by scientists. The search will cover approximately 5,800 square miles.
The Malaysian government will only grant the $70 million reward to the company if it finds a significant amount of wreckage, according to the Associated Press.
The target date of the search is between January and April of next year.
