David Céspedes, longevity expert: “Avoid these 3 drinks because they are damaging your memory and your brain”
The health professional has shared a video on TikTok in which he talks about the prejudices caused by alcohol, soft drinks, and industrial coffees.

As the years go by, more and more people are becoming intentional about their health and looking for ways to live fuller, more balanced lives.
With that growing interest, a wave of wellness experts has emerged—armed with tips, tools, and lifestyle hacks that promise to boost longevity almost instantly.
One of them is David Céspedes, a longevity specialist and content creator who recently po sted a viral TikTok video breaking down the three drinks he says can seriously impact your memory and brain health when consumed regularly.
“Avoid these three drinks because they’re damaging your memory and your brain,” he warns at the start.

1. Alcohol
Céspedes begins with alcohol. “There’s still debate, but the science is very clear: alcohol kills neurons, harms your gut microbiome, and damages your brain,” he says. “It also inflames the liver, affects memory, and destroys your sleep quality.”
According to him, beer is the worst offender: “It contains gluten, which is inflammatory, and it raises uric acid levels, making it easier for abdominal fat to accumulate.”
If someone chooses to drink, he suggests doing so mindfully: “The least harmful option would be high‑quality, pure tequila.”
2. Sugary sodas
Next on his list: sodas. “Some people drink them every day. They’re basically sugar bombs with zero fiber, sending glucose and insulin levels skyrocketing,” he explains. Céspedes adds that these drinks contribute to “brain inflammation, one of the main drivers of cognitive decline and Alzheimer’s.”
3. Frappuccinos and ultra‑processed coffee drinks
Finally, he calls out frappuccinos and industrially produced coffee beverages. “They contain absurd amounts of caffeine and sugar, which disrupt your nervous system, blood pressure, and brain function,” he says. “On top of that, they’re loaded with syrups and trans fats—hidden toxins.”
