Don’t miss Labor Day sales: here’s when the deals start and end at top stores
Labor Day sales are live! Score early holiday savings on tech, home goods & more at Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy & Target before prices rise.
Labor Day is right around the corner, and many businesses are gearing up to offer special deals to celebrate. With retailers often looking for ways to draw in customers, holiday weekends—when many workers have a day off and time to shop—have become a popular time for sales, embraced by both major corporations and small businesses alike.
And while it may feel early to start thinking about Christmas presents, some items may be marked down to the lowest prices you’ll see before the holiday season. Many economists are warning that the impact of tariffs might be felt later in the year, so if you see a deal on Labor Day, you might want to take advantage, as those prices might not be available as we get closer to the holiday season.
This year, Labor Day falls on Monday, September 1, and retailers are already previewing the items they will discount over the weekend.
Amazon
On Amazon, some Labor Day deals are already active, and the platform is likely to expand its offerings through the holiday.
Featured deals include the Ring Alarm 14-Piece Kit for $198.99 (40% off), the Osprey Nebula Commuter Backpack for $111.95 (25% off), and the Shark AV2501S AI Ultra Robot Vacuum for $269.99 (51% off). You can shop all the offers by category, discount, or price to find the best fit for your needs this Labor Day weekend.
Best Buy
Looking to score tech deals this Labor Day? Apple fans can grab the Pencil Pro in white for $99.00—saving $30 off its comparable value of $129.00. The Apple AirTag 4-Pack is also marked down to $69.99, a savings of $29.00 off the original value. For adventure seekers, the GoPro HERO13 Black Action Camera Bundle is available for $379.99, discounted by $100 from its original price of $479.99.
Target
Target has yet to release its complete list of deals. Still, according to 9to5Toys, through September 1, shoppers at Target will see deals on Lego Sets (up to 20% off), the iPad series (up to $200 off), as well as Halloween accessories (up to 50% off), for those who are getting in the spirit early this year. The deal hunters also noted that many summer products, like grilling tools and outdoor furniture, will be marked down to as the retailer looks to make space for fall and winter merchandise.
Walmart
Walmart has already begun adding items to its website’s Labor Day savings section. Like Target and Best Buy, Walmart has a deal on Apple products, with the 2025 Apple 11-inch iPad A16 Wi-Fi 128GB on sale for $299.00, saving you $50.00. Upgrade your kitchen essentials with the Astercook 6 Piece Color-Coded Kitchen Knife Set, now only $19.99, offering $80.00 in savings. Staying in the kitchen, Walmart is also offering a $142.99 savings on the Astercook 20 Piece Ceramic Pots and Pans Set on sale for just $56.99.
