The elections in Venezuela that were held on Sunday, 28 July, continue to be the center of conversation, even for Elon Musk, who has called for a fight with Nicolás Maduro after the president challenged him.

On Tuesday, Maduro spoke about Musk, calling him Venezuela’s “new arch-enemy.”

“Elon Musk, whoever messes with me, dries up! Do you want a fight? I’m not afraid of you! Wherever you want, in the neighborhoods... If you want, I want to!” the president of Venezuela said.

Following Maduro’s message, Musk accepted the “fight.”

“If I win, he resigns as dictator of Venezuela; if he wins, I’ll invite him to a free trip to Mars,”the billionaire responded to a post on X with a survey about who would win in a fight, Musk or Maduro.

On the other hand, Musk assured that Madero “will cower”. “Maduro is a big guy and probably knows how to fight, so this would be a real fight,” he also noted.

After Musk’s proposal, Maduro responded: “He accepted my challenge. We’re going to fight, but come here. If I beat you, I’ll accept the trip to Mars, but you’re going with me.”

On Monday, the National Electoral Council (CNE) named Nicolás Maduro the winner of the elections in Venezuela, who, according to the organization, obtained 51.20 percent of the votes. Elvis Amoroso, president of the CNE, assured that the results were “convincing and irreversible.”

The other “fights” Musk has been involved in

Last year, there was extensive discussion and negotiation about a potential cage match between Elon Musk and Meta boss Mark Zuckerberg.

Zuckerberg eventually expressed skepticism about Musk’s seriousness, stating that Musk wouldn’t confirm a date and suggesting he move on to compete with people who take the sport seriously.
