FDA issues warning on coffee distributed in 15 states: this is the number you should look for to check it out

Most people seek out a morning cup of Joe to get their day rolling from a caffeine boost. But that energizing substance can give others the jitters or pose risks for those who are sensitive. So, they opt for decaf coffee.
For that reason, those in the latter group will want to be on the look out to see if they have in their cupboard Coffee Roasters Our Family Traverse City Cherry Artificially Flavored Decaf Light Roast Ground Coffee.
Massimo Zanetti Beverage USA of Suffolk, Virginia initiated a recall on 13 March of 692 cases of the product due to a labeling error. The 4,152 affected packages actually contain caffeinated coffee and not decaf.

The Coffee Roasters Our Family Traverse City Cherry Artificially Flavored Decaf Light Roast Ground Coffee that is being recalled was distributed by The SpartanNash Company in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The recalled product was shipped to distribution centers and retail stores in 15 states including Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
The affected product can be identified with the following information on the packaging:
- UPC code: 0 70253 11080 1
- Code Information: BEST BEFORE 080325 V 15:37 C
The recall number for the event is F-0666-2025. According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) notice it is classified as a Class II recall, meaning “the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote” or that the product “may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.”
People are advised not to consume the recalled product, and retailers to pull it from their shelves and inventories. If you purchased the recalled product, you can return it to the store where you bought it for a full refund or a replacement package.
