Goodbye Delta Air Lines: flights ended to important U.S. city with no plans to ever return
The airline cites demand as the reason for ending service, but city leaders insist the airport remains a vital hub.

Delta Air Lines will suspend its flights to Midland International Air & Space Port in Midland, Texas. The carrier’s last flights will take place on November 8, while the route between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and Midland will end the following day.
In a statement to USA Today, the airline said the decision was made to “align with consumer demand.” It added: “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and remain committed to serving Central Texas as the leading global airline in Austin.”
