Goodbye Gen Alpha: This is the newest generation that starts with babies born in 2025
The year 2025 is ushering in a new generation with yet another name. As you can predict, the people born after Generation Alpha will be called Gen Beta.
As the new year begins, we also have to prepare ourselves for the arrival of yet another new generation. Move over, Gen Alpha, and make way for Generation Beta.
This term is being used by McCrindle Research to refer to the people born between 2025 and 2039. We have yet to see if the name that comes from the Greek alphabet will stick, just like “Gen Z” became popular while “Millennial” came to be preferred over “Gen Y.”

Generation Beta will live to see the next century
Gen Beta will be the offspring of younger Millennials and older Gen Zs, and many of them are expected to be alive when the 22nd century comes around.
According to McCrindle, the new generation will comprise at least 16% of the world’s population in 10 years.
An important aspect of Gen Beta will be how technology will affect them. They are likely to experience and integrate artificial intelligence and automation in most if not all parts of their life.
Their parents, who have been accustomed to using technology will also use it as a tool for Gen B’s education.

Since Millennials and Gen Z both come from technology-saturated eras, they are also aware that their children will face challenges regarding the use of tech and social media at such a young age.
Studies show that members of Gen Z in particular put importance on limiting the amount of screen time for their children.
McCrindle predicts that Gen Beta will be raised as globally minded and collaborative individuals by parents who make equality and environmental awareness a priority.
