On many Sunday afternoons when cooking feels like too much effort, some people opt to order delivery – after all, a day is a day. But in Portugal there is one person who has placed 1,900 Uber Eats orders, averaging six a day.

The figure has been described as “curious” by the company and represents an average spend of about €315 ($340) a day. Burgers were this user’s most frequently ordered item, and the peak ordering window was between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. ET. “November 29 stood out as the busiest day of the year, driven by the Black Week campaign,” Uber added.

Other curious Uber Eats facts

Uber Portugal also shared other eye-catching statistics, such as the longest journey taken in one of its vehicles. A user traveled from Faro Airport in the Algarve to Matosinhos in the north of the country – a trip of roughly 370 miles.

The company also noted that Uber Eats can be used to buy groceries and electronics. In 2025, the single largest purchase totaled about $1,520 – an iPhone 15 and a PlayStation 5.

All of this information was disclosed in a company statement, which added: “The most searched categories on Uber Eats were, in this order, grocery store, convenience and pharmacy, reflecting the platform’s increasingly broad use to meet immediate needs well beyond meals.”
