Home Depot’s hottest Halloween item is going viral and disappearing from stores

Halloween is just under two months away and fans of the spookiest night of the year are getting ready, and it’s no surprise. Stores began stocking decorations and candy as early as June this year.

However, one item that was recently spotted at Home Depot has taken the internet by storm and sent people on a frenzied search to get their hands on one. The Do-It-Yourself super store is offering an “adorable” limited-edition mini–Homer Bucket decked out with mainstays of Halloween imagery.

Perfect for any Halloween need

Online users are raving about these orange Homer Buckets covered with bats, ghosts, jack-o-lanterns, and spiders, webs included. One social media post said that “there are so many ideas” for what you could use these two-gallon buckets including “perfect for trick or treating, passing out candy, boo buckets for neighbors, using as a planter for a faux plant on your porch, keeping Halloween books & goodies together.”

You won’t be able to purchase them online though, “these cuties are in-store only,” says the ‘passionatepennypincher’ on Instagram. But you’d better act fast, priced at just $2.98 each, they are flying off the shelves.

However, if you are unlucky in your hunt for the limited-edition Halloween Homer Bucket, you can always make your own as TikTok users ‘Liz and Eddie’ did. USA TODAY reports that after unsuccessfully trying to chase one down at multiple stores, the husband picked up a standard Homer Bucket and decorated it himself at home.
