According to a statement issued by his rock band, Hollywood Vampires, the 59-year-old actor suffered a “painful injury” to his ankle, forcing the band, which includes Alice Cooper, Tommy Henriksen, and Joe Perry, to postpone their tour, since Johnny cannot travel on doctor’s recommendations.

“We are saddened to share that Hollywood Vampires will be rescheduling our three US tour dates next week. Johnny has sustained a painful injury to his ankle following his recent appearances and has been advised by his doctor not to travel. He is devastated by this turn of events, but looks forward to resting up so that all four vampires can bring their absolute best on tour in Europe,” read a statement issued via social networks.

He has a bill on his ankle

Following the statement issued by the musical group, Johnny took to his official Instagram account to share more details about the situation.

“My dear friends. I’m sorry to say that I fractured my ankle, which is a drag!!! It began as a hairline break but somewhere between Cannes and the Royal Albert Hall, it got worse rather than better. Several medical professionals strongly suggested I avoid any and all activity for the moment and so am sadly unable to travel at this time,” wrote the musician on social networks.

The shows that will be canceled were due to take place in New Hampshire, Boston and New York. He promised that Hollywood Vampires “will bring an amazing show” to ticketholders in Europe and “our absolute best” to those who attend concerts on the East Coast later this summer. Likewise, that the group will “make it up” to fans that had tickets for the three dates that will be rescheduled expressing his “sincerest apologies.”
