Through CalFresh, the government gives special coupons to needy families so they can buy food at select stores. The amount of the coupons is deposited to an electronic benefits transfer card, known as EBT.
CalFresh recipients will see a reduction in their monthly payments
Due to the pandemic, the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) offered an average extra benefit of $95 on top of regular help; however, in every state in the country the pandemic allocations have come to an end, which means that the government will no longer provide this extra money.
In California, the pandemic aid comes to an end as of this month, March, which means that the payment reduction will be reflected on the deposit in April .
