How old is Tim Walz? How does he compare to Harris, Trump and Vance?

Age has been at the forefront of the 2024 presidential election and led to President Biden stepped out of the race to pass the torch to a younger ticket.

Democrats will formally nominate Vice President Kamala Harris as their standard-bearer in the 2024 presidential election this week at the Democratic national Convention in Chicago. Illinois. Likewise, her vice presidential pick, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, will be voted on be delegates as the Number Two on the Democratic ticket.

The pair have hyper-energized the Democrats and upended the race for the White House, which originally had been a rematch between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.

Walz and Harris of an age

Democrats immediately highlighted all they felt were the right reasons for the pick, things like signing into law a guaranteed free breakfast and lunch for all Minnesota students. Republicans pointed to some rioting in the city he represents. But another questions that seemed to cross the political divide was his age.

Given that for months, or should I say years, the prospect of Donald Trump and Joe Biden leading their respective parties ensured that age was a key topic of discussion, it’s maybe no surprise. So how does Walz compare on that measure to the other three involved in the race for the White House?

Harris was born on October 20, 1964, and the 59-year-old’s VP choice, Walz is 60, born on April 6, 1964, making him just six months older. JD Vance is the youngest of the four, having just turned 40 on August 2. Donald Trump, of course, is very much the more senior, already 78 years old.
