Fortunately, it’s not too difficult to do…

How to archive all tweets

Your Twitter archive is essentially a frozen-in-time snapshot of your life on Twitter to date, starting with your maiden tweet. Here’s how to download your Twitter archive:

1. In the navigation bar above the blue ‘draft new tweet’ icon, select the ‘More’ icon.

2. From there go to ‘Settings and Support’, then to ‘Settings and privacy’, before selecting “Your account”.

3. Select ‘Download an archive of your date’ and entered you password when prompted.

4. Verify your identity with a code sent to your email or phone number, which will then take you back to an ‘Account information’ page to enter the information.

5. Once you’ve validated your identity, click ‘Request archive’.

6. Twitter will then send an email with a .zip file of your entire Twitter archive. If you have the app downloaded on your device you will get a notification informing you that the file is ready to be downloaded. Alternatively if you head back to the ‘Settings’ area on the Twitter app you will be given the option to ‘Download data’ in the Download data section.
