It’s International Beer Day- time to celebrate one of America’s favorite beverages. Some establishments are offering deals to make the best of the occasion.
International Beer Day is celebrated every year on the first Friday of August- a great way to fight the summer heat. This year, it falls on Friday, Aug. 2, encouraging people to kick off the weekend with a pint or two.
The relatively new holiday was first observed in 2007 in California, and has spread to become a global celebration since then. Those who founded the day wanted to dedicate an entire day to showing love for the beverage, as well as appreciation for the people who brew and serve it.
Some establishments are offering deals, discounts, and giveaways to beer lovers to help them celebrate the day.
