A technical issue at the network giant triggered widespread login failures, with engineers racing to restore normal service.

Cloudflare motivo caída internet

Cloudflare is experiencing problems again across the United States and across the world, just like the infamous outage a few days ago. Downdetector is reporting that today, Friday, December 5th, widespread issues began around 4 a.m. ET. Since then, certain services that rely on this cloud service, such as Crunchyroll, Perplexity AI, Zoom, Canva, and the video games Fortnite and Valorant, have started experiencing login problems.

Cloudflare outage on Friday, December 5, 2025 – what’s affected and is there a fix?

At the time of publication, Downdetector had logged a fresh wave of reports pointing to a steadily rising number of Cloudflare-related disruptions that have yet to reach their peak.

Cloudflare has already acknowledged the issue and says its teams are working on a solution, meaning there is nothing users need to do other than wait. The company’s site notes that it has detected “a high volume of errors for customers utilizing Workers API scripts.” In other words, this is a technical failure currently being addressed.

How to check the status of Cloudflare

If Cloudflare – or any service that depends on it – stops working, the best approach is to visit platforms like Downdetector or Cloudflare Status. Both allow users to confirm whether a failure is local, regional or global. Sometimes the issue lies with an internet provider, or, as in this case, with a key intermediary whose infrastructure is essential for a platform to function properly.

Cloudflare's peak incidents coincide with those of other services that depend on this cloud.

Outages like this typically last only a few minutes, though in worst-case scenarios it can take several hours to restore service. Again, users cannot fix the situation themselves – it is up to the company’s engineers to resolve the underlying technical problems. In other words, all you can do is wait.
