Is Donald Trump directly involved in the production and sale of the Trump Sneakers?
Former President Donald Trump launched a line of footwear bearing his name at Sneaker Con in Philadelphia on Saturday sold through a Wyoming-based company.
Donald Trump’s family business in New York got slammed with a massive penalty for financial fraud on Friday as well as banning him from running a business in the state for three years. However, he was out with a new product line bearing his name the following day, launching a line of footwear at Sneaker Con in Philadelphia.
“I’ve wanted to do this for a long time,” Trump told the boisterous crowd at the presentation of his ‘Never Surrender High-Top Sneaker’ which are priced at $399 on the website hawking the shoes. Those who want to buy a pair though are out of luck for the time being as that particular item is currently marked as ‘sold out’ by the online retailer located at GetTrumpSneakers.com. The website says that product was “super limited” to only 1,000 pairs which won’t begin shipping until July 2024.
However, there are two other pairs of sneakers and a pair of fragrances available for pre-order, that may start shipping in June this year when it comes to the fragrances and August for the Potus 45 sneakers. Beware though as the site warns that “Shipping and delivery dates are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed.” Likewise you might not get what you see as “the images shown are for illustration purposes only and may not be an exact representation of the product,” states a disclaimer.

The company behind the website is 45Footwear, LLC which says on its page that it “is not owned, managed or controlled by Donald J. Trump, The Trump Organization, CIC Ventures LLC or any of their respective principals or affiliates.” The brand has paid CIC Ventures LLC for the use of “Donald J. Trump’s name, likeness and image,” under a license which “may be terminated or revoked according to its terms.”
The company is based in Sheridan, Wyoming and states that it is “not political and has nothing to do with any political campaign.” According to Trump, the idea was presented to him by “some incredible people that work with [him] on things” and he’s been talking about it for 12 or 13 years. And being true to fashion “thinks it’s going to be a big success.”
