The Republican National Conference (RNC) is about to come to an end, but before the final day, in which Donald Trump will be declared the official presidential candidate, his running mate, J.D. Vance, gave his first speech as the GOP candidate for the vice presidency.

Vance formally accepted the Republican nomination for vice president Wednesday night. The senator’s speech focused on his Rust Belt roots and was aimed at key swing states for next November’s presidential election.

“To the people of Middletown, Ohio, and all the forgotten communities in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Ohio, and every corner of our nation, I promise you this: I will be a vice president who never forgets where he came from,” Vance said.

Vance focuses his speech on his biography

Although he omitted important topics on the Republican agenda, Vance focused on talking a little more about his life and some details and anecdotes with his family. However, he did not forget to share some references to Biden and the situation to workers and Americans.

“Each step of the way, in small towns like mine in Ohio, or next door in Pennsylvania or Michigan, in other states across our country, jobs were sent overseas and our children were sent to war. And somehow, a real estate developer from New York City by the name of Donald J. Trump was right on all of these issues while Biden was wrong,Vance said.

He also didn't mention what made him change his mind to support Trump after criticizing him in the past, but he did encourage attendees to continue supporting him.

We need a leader who fights for the people who built this country. We need a leader who’s not in the pocket of big business, but answers to the working man, union and nonunion alike,” he said.

Dana White prepares to introduce Trump

On the last day of the RNC, Trump will formally become the Republican candidate for the November presidential election, seeking to once again reach the White House.

The Wall Street Journal previously reported that UFC boss Dana White will make his third consecutive appearance at the Republican National Convention to introduce Trump.

On the other hand, amid growing doubts, Democrats will hold their national convention in Chicago from August 19 to 22, where President Biden is expected to be chosen as the official candidate.
