Specialty retailer LL Flooring has announced it has filed for bankruptcy and will close 94 stores across the country.
The company started voluntary reorganizing proceedings as it found itself buried in almost $110 million of long-term debt.
LL Flooring, formerly known as Lumber Liquidators, has been known for offering a wide range of flooring products, including solid and engineered hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and tile, as well as related accessories like moldings, underlayment, and tools.
The company said sluggish home sales and high interest rates have contributed to its financial woes.
