Lollapalooza 2022 begins on Thursday with hundreds of thousands of music lowers expected to party in Chicago’s Grant Park over the next four days. After nearly two decades the festival brings together 170 artists from all around the world and is one of the most well-attended in the United States.
However that massive popularity does have its negative points as an estimated 350,000 revellers arrive in Chicago. The transportations options are often less than ideal and many will likely choose to drive to Lollapalooza.
If you’re thinking of arriving by car bear in mind that there are two entrances for Lollapalooza 2022, the Main Entrance at Michigan & Ida B Wells and the North Entrance at Columbus & Monroe.
Where are the best places to park for Lollapalooza?
There are two main carparks affiliated with the festival that provide the most convenient parking spots for festival-goers. Millennium Garages are directly beneath Grant Park, Millennium Park and Maggie Daley Park, putting it right next to the main entrance.
The carpark is divided into Millennium Lakeside Garage and Millennium Park Garage, both of which are located at 5 South Columbus Drive, adjacent to the festival’s North Entrance. Tickets for these carparks can be reserved on the Millennium Garages website.
These options below the festival site are the closest to the action but may be booked up by the time you try to reserve a spot. Here are the closest car parking facilities to the festival grounds…
Name | Distance from Festival |

50 E Adams Garage | 4 minute walk |
55 E Monroe Garage | 4 minute walk |
Grant Park North | 6 minute walk |
