The world-famous festival returns to Chicago this weekend and is expected to welcome close to 400,000 people through its gates.
The four-day Lollapalooza festival kicked off on Thursday with Metallica closing the show on its opening night. Close to 100,000 people are expected to enter Chicago’s Grant Park every day for the world-renowned festival.
Metallica, Dua Lipa, J. Cole and Green Day are headlining the T-Mobile Main Stage across the four days, but those four names barely scratch the surface of what is to over this weekend with more than 170 artists to perform.
In addition to the Main Stage, there is also the following stages: Bud Light Seltzer; Tito’s Homemade Vodka; Discord; BMI; Kidzapalooza presented by Lifeway; Solana x Perry’s and Coinbase. Making the most of Lollapalooza 2022
There are a few pieces of information which, although not the most glamorous, will help make sure that you have an enjoyable time at the festival. Firstly, bear in mind that while the wristband tickets do allow for re-entry, there is a limit. Patrons can leave and re-enter two additional times after first entering.
There are lockers available to rent for your essentials, which also gives users access to a mobile charging pack for an additional $10 deposit. The pack comes with a universal charging cable to cover iPhone, Micro USB and USB-C, and if your pack runs out of battery you can exchange it for free. Presales for lockers have now closed by can be purchased on-site.
Losing valued items is a nightmare situation at a festival but unfortunately that possibility is always there. However Lollapalooza allows festival goers to register their items in advance using this link. Once your item is registered you will receive a phone wallpaper image with a unique QR code, enabling you to easily claim any lost items that are handed in.
The Lost & Found centre for Lollapalooza 2022 can be found in the main Guest Services Tent, near to Columbus and Ida B Wells.
If you want to avoid bringing cash and cards entirely you can also opt to register for the Cashless payment system that will be running at stalls all around the festival. Your Lollapalooza entry wristband can be paired with your credit card, Paypal or Venmo account to make paying even easier. The registration can be done online on the Lollapalooza website and allows users to select a PIN for added security.
