MAGA fashion? Trump’s followers love this brand: “Its aesthetic aligns closely with values often associated with modern conservatism”
From tweed jackets to prairie dresses, Tuckernuck’s preppy, classic style has quietly become a favorite among conservative women.

Could you identify a member of the MAGAsphere just by what they’re wearing? Celebrity stylist and image consultant Edith Chan believes she can, and not only thanks to the classic high-crown MAGA red hat popularized by President Trump.
For Chan, tweed, in-your-face luxury handbags, pointed-toe nude heels, large cross necklaces, and long prairie dresses with puffy sleeves are all telltale signs of a true MAGA enthusiast. But so too is wearing most of one particular company’s catalog.
Tuckerness: An unwanted conservative favorite
According to the Daily Beast, top executives at D.C.-based store Tuckernuck, who style themselves as “classic,” “timeless,” and “all American,” are Democratic donors. Yet the retailer has inadvertently become popular among conservatives, particularly women.
“The brand positions itself as ‘your one-stop shop for a fun, full life,’ and that life is clearly framed through an East Coast, upper-middle-class lens - classic, heritage-inspired, preppy, and aspirational,” Chan told HuffPost.
“Tuckernuck doesn’t promote MAGA ideology directly, but its aesthetic aligns closely with values often associated with modern conservatism: tradition, respectability, family life, and understated wealth.”
From Fox News to the White House
Fox News anchors and prominent figures in the Trump administration, including White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, have been seen sporting Tuckernuck attire, much to the alleged annoyance of store staff.
“I have a hard time, you know, with Karoline Leavitt,” one employee told the Daily Beast. “Her kind of day-to-day is very much against my morals and values.”
Whether those comments will deter Leavitt from continuing to shop remains to be seen, although the general view is that the Tuckernuck catalog is well suited to creating the perfect corporate look.
Preppy, safe, and politically charged
“You might not look like the trendiest girl at the party in Tuckernuck, but the silhouettes and fit are consistent and modest, which is helpful, particularly in a Hill setting,” says Suzanne Lambert, known for dropping political hot takes on her “Mean But True” podcast.
The “safeness” of the outfit does not always reflect the tone of what is coming out of the mouths of those wearing it. “When you think about Tuckernuck and then you look at what the Trump administration is doing,” Lambert continues, “it’s pretty obvious that Republicans wearing Tuckernuck is more about assimilation and distraction than curating one’s own style.”
Whether it’s tweed jackets, prairie dresses, or a carefully curated handbag, one thing is clear: fashion can give away more than you might think in the world of politics. In the case of Tuckernuck, it seems the right outfit can give away political allegiance without a single slogan.
