Not France or the UK: This is the European country that has banned TikTok for a year
Edi Rama, Albania’s prime minister has announced that the social media platform will be banned for 12 months.

Following Edi Rama (Albania’s prime minister), announcing a possible one-year TikTok ban in late December after the fatal stabbing of a 14-year-old which followed arguments on the social media platform, the country’s Education Minister (Ogerta Manastirliu) confirmed this week that Albania will impose a 12-month ban on TikTok to safeguard children.
The measure is expected to take effect in the next few days with Manastirliu claiming: “We have decided to take temporary measures to avoid the negative impacts of the online platform TikTok.
