Payment dates for Social Security checks from July to December 2024

Here are the Social Security Administration payment dates for the remainder of 2024.

Throughout the year, millions of people receive benefits from the Social Security Administration, with the much-needed money coming as a huge help to their wallets.

The agency sends benefits to retired workers, survivors and those receiving disability benefits from the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), all of whom receive their money at various times of the month.

Payments have been going on all year round and now, in the second half of 2024, things are set to continue. As such, a calendar has been created by the SSA in order to organise the payments and make it easier to follow.

Generally, SSI benefits are distributed on the first day of each month. As for those who began receiving Social Security payments before May 1997, they will receive their benefits on the 3rd of each month.

For other beneficiaries, including retired workers and those receiving survivors and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) payments, the timing of their checks depends on their birthdate.
