The alignment of seven planets won’t happen again until 2492

Planetary alignments are common when three or more planets are involved. In the case of six-planet alignments, we experienced one just over a month ago, and another will occur in August. However, a seven-planet alignment is an exceptional event that will not happen again until the year 2492.

These are the planets that will align this Friday, February 28

On February 28, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus will be visible in the sky over the United States before dawn, forming a diagonal line stretching from the eastern horizon toward the southeast.

Among these planets are the five brightest in the solar system—Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. However, Uranus and Neptune will not be visible to the naked eye and will require specific tools to observe.
