Planning a trip to Disneyland? Follow these expert tips to get cheaper tickets
Disneyland is a lovely treat for your family, but not your wallet.

Disneyland is a dream destination for many, young and old, across the world. However, given the popularity of the theme park, it is certainly not a dream destination for your wallet.
Hotels can quickly move into the hundreds, if not thousands, with food and drink also sold for extortionate prices.
With that in mind, here are a few tips to keep the prices down in Disney...
1. Go when the crowds aren’t roaring
Disney adapts its ticket prices dynamically. That means if you choose quieter periods such as early spring (mid-January to mid-March), late summer (August–September), or the autumn months (mid-September to mid-November)—you’ll likely find lower rates and shorter queues.
2. Make multi-day tickets work
Buying several days’ worth of tickets lowers the daily cost significantly. If you’re already planning a lengthier getaway, this is one of the easiest and most effective ways to cut down on expenses.
3. Don’t go for the Park Hopper option
Hopping between parks in a single day may sound fun, but the idea comes with a big price tag. Staying in one park per day not only trims costs but also means less rushing around to see everything at once.
4. Use discounted gift cards
Retailers like Target give you 5% off, and warehouse clubs such as Sam’s Club and BJ’s sometimes offer Disney gift cards below face value. These can give you savings not just for tickets, but for food, souvenirs, or even hotel stays.
5. Shop through authorised resellers
Websites like Undercover Tourist or Get Away Today can deliver solid discounts—anywhere from 5% to 35% off—especially when you’re buying longer-ticket bundles.

6. Take advantage of military and government discounts
If you or a loved one serves in the U.S. military, or works in education, EMS, or government, you could be looking at up to nearly half off multi-day passes.
7. Deals via official Disney channels
Disney itself often runs its own special offers such as seasonal promos or personalised discount codes for account holders. Signing up and checking the “Special Offers” page regularly may reward you with surprise savings.
8. Explore union or corporate benefits
Members of unions or employees through employer programs like TicketsAtWork can tap into additional savings: UnionPlus offers around 7% off, and some employer portals could take $80 to $100 off your ticket cost.
9. Redeem airline miles for Disney packages
If you’ve collected frequent flyer miles, Disney vacation packages are sometimes redeemable through airline portals. And, when miles are involved, there could be extra cash discounts layered on top.
