Playing UNO in Las Vegas? Here you can—but there’s a catch
The first UNO Social Club will open at Palms Casino Resort from July 18-20, but all isn’t quite what it seems.
Poker, Roulette, Blackjack…UNO. That’s right, the family-friendly card game is coming to Las Vegas…but only temporarily, no money will be exchanging hands, and it won’t be available for the general public to play.
UNO in Las Vegas: where and when
In May, Sin City’s Palms Casino Resort and toy and family entertainment company Mattel, who publish the game, released a joint statement announcing they were teaming up to put on the first ever UNO Social Club this weekend, from Friday, July 18 to Sunday, July 20.
“We created UNO Social Clubs to reimagine what game night can be - bringing people together for real-world fun, connection, and a bit of friendly competition,” said Ray Adler, Mattel’s Vice President and Global Head of Games. “The UNO Social Club in Las Vegas is just the beginning, and we’re excited to see how these new experiences inspire players to show up, play hard, and make unforgettable memories.”
Will UNO be played on the casino floor?
However, the UNO Social Club isn’t quite what many were hoping for, with the card game not expected to be available on the casino floor for legal reasons.
Instead, “one lucky winner and a guest have the chance to stay, play, and go wild” in one of Palms Casino Resort’s suites, which will be decked out in UNO colors for the occasion. That will, though, be a private affair, with interested parties having been invited to enter a contest to win a two-night stay in the suite by submitting a creative video on TikTok.

The suite includes UNO game tables, a game host to shuffle the deck and a private bowling alley. Among the decks featured are UNO Golf, UNO Teams and UNO Show ‘em No Mercy.
We can probably all agree, though, that UNO is considerably more fun with more than two players, so we can only hope Mattel revises its initial “one lucky winner and a guest” claim.
The company has also revealed it plans to debut more UNO Social Clubs around the United States later in the year, although it isn’t yet clear in which locations, or whether they will all follow the same format.
