Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have extended their best wishes to Kate Middleton after sharing her cancer diagnosis and hope that her privacy is respected.
After several weeks of speculation about her disappearance from the public sphere, Kate Middleton has revealed that “it has been an incredibly difficult couple of months” for her and her entire family.
Through an official video, The Princess of Wales reported that she was diagnosed with cancer after undergoing abdominal surgery in January. “At the time it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present,” she said.
“My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I’m now in the early stages of that treatment”, she added.

According to the outlet, Megan and Harry were in Los Angeles on Thursday night at an art exhibition, so it's unclear if they were aware of Middleton's diagnosis or not.
King Charles III also shared a statement. “His Majesty is so proud of Catherine for her courage and speaking as she did. Following their time in hospital together, His Majesty has remained in the closest contact with his beloved daughter-in-law throughout the past weeks,” reads a statement, according to ABC News. .
“Both their Majesties will continue to offer their love and support to the whole family throughout this difficult time,” they added.
