Satellite images reveal that Russia has completely depleted its armor stockpile in one of its warehouses

Satellite images may indicate that the Russian army is running low on armored vehicles... Here’s how these military experts reached this conclusion.

Update:

Satellite imagery can be used as a tool of espionage between militaries to evaluate stockpiles, troop movements, and positions. Though not an exact science, as these images often lack context, they can be a vital resource for warring parties.

A Czech outlet, ABC Media, has reported that recent satellite images captured over the Omsk Tank Automobile Engineering Institute, an installation near the border with Kazakhstan, show a significant decrease in the number of armed vehicles located at the military facility.

ABC Media writes that the Omsk facility is reportedly the “only higher education institution in Russia that trains engineers with high specialization in the repair, maintenance and modernization of motor and armored vehicles."

What these images might indicate about the supply of Russia’s armored vehicles

In other words, the significant decrease in the number of vehicles parked in Omsk indicates that they may be running low on critical resources, as these vehicles that are used for educational purposes are being sent to the front. However, the engineers and mechanics assigned to repair these vehicles might be relocating to the front lines to expedite the return of tanks to the battlefield.
