Severe weather in Florida: Which school districts are canceling classes on Tuesday, Jan. 9?

The National Weather Service is warning of possible severe weather across Florida through Tuesday. There is the potential for strong winds, large hail and tornadoes from the western Panhandle moving into Central and South Florida. Localized flash flooding could also be experienced along with costal flooding in the Apalachee Bay and Big Bend.

As part of the preparations for the severe weather event, Governor Ron DeSantis has activated the Florida State Guard and asked residents to heed any warnings from officials.
