The United States has various economic assistance initiatives for low-income people, among them the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, popularly known as SNAP coupons.
Through SNAP, the federal government provides financial assistance by issuing food stamps on a monthly basis to those who struggle to put food on their tables. The amount of the coupons is deposited to an electronic benefit transfer debit card that is accepted in various stores, markets on wheels, and selected supermarkets.

SNAP coupon amounts for December
Every year, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) increases monthly SNAP coupon payments thanks to the cost of living adjustment (COLA). The COLA increases the amount of payments at the same rate as current inflation, so that the beneficiaries do not see a decrease in their purchasing power when inflation is high. This is also what happens with Social Security payments.
According to the USDA, the increase in the COLA for 2024 is 3.2%, the same that came into effect on Oct. 1. With this, the maximum amount that will be received by an individual will increase from $281 to $291. Payment dates by state for December
Although SNAP coupons are a form of financial aid provided by the federal government, the administration of the program falls under the state government. Therefore, eligibility requirements and dates to receive the assistance vary from state to state.
