Payments are issued monthly, but the specific date of receipt depends on the beneficiary’s date of birth. Individuals born between the 1st and 10th of the month will receive their checks on the second Wednesday of the month. Those born between the 11th and 20th will receive their payments on the third Wednesday, while those born between the 21st and 31st will receive their checks on the last Wednesday of the month.
Please note that this payment schedule does not apply to individuals who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI). They will receive their checks at the beginning of the month, regardless of their birth date. In the event that the payment day falls on a weekend, it will be moved to the preceding business day. Beneficiaries who retired before May 1997 are also not included in the schedule based on the date of birth of the recipient and instead receive their checks during the first week of every month.
