Millions of Social Security beneficiaries are to receive their latest monthly money next Wednesday, as the U.S.’s Social Security Administration (SSA) continues its benefits schedule for June 2026.
Next week’s distribution date marks the beginning of June’s three-Wednesdays payment cycle.
Who’s receiving Social Security on Wednesday, June 10?
Of the 71 million Social Security recipients in the U.S., many will be paid on the second, third or fourth Wednesday in June, depending on their birthday. On June 10 - the month’s second Wednesday - benefits are to be sent to claimants born between the first and the 10th of any month.
June 2026’s full three-Wednesdays schedule is:
- Born on 1st-10th of any month: Wednesday, June 10
- Born on 11th-20th of any month: Wednesday, June 17
- Born on 21st-31st of any month: Wednesday, June 24
NB: If you claim Social Security based on someone else’s work record, the SSA uses the other person’s birthday.
What other Social Security payment runs are there in June 2026?
- June 3: Some long-term beneficiaries
Social Security recipients who started claiming their benefits before May 1997 were paid on June 3, no matter their date of birth.
- June 3: Dual recipients (Social Security + SSI)
Social Security can be combined with Supplemental Security Income (SSI), a scheme for certain low-income, low-resource individuals. These dual recipients got their SSI on June 1, followed by Social Security two days later.

Social Security beneficiaries can update their banking information using the SSA’s online my Social Security tool.
- Direct Express
Benefits can be paid onto the Direct Express Card, a special debit card for federal disbursements. Sign up at 1-800-333-1795 or 1-800-772-1213, or at a Social Security office.
