Southwest Airlines buy-one-get-one-free flights: Destinations and who can use the promotion

Southwest Airlines has brought back its popular Companion Pass promotion, offering a limited-time buy-one-get-one-free deal for flights.

This promotion allows Rapid Rewards members to bring a companion along on their travels at no additional cost, save for taxes and fees starting at $5.60 one-way.

“We love offering this Companion Pass promotion because it allows our members to experience one of the many benefits of our award-winning Rapid Rewards program,” Southwest Vice President of Marketing Jennifer Bridie said in a statement.

How it works

The Companion Pass allows you to designate one person to fly with you for free on unlimited flights during the promotional period. You can change your designated companion up to three times while you have the pass.

This year’s promotion comes with an added benefit: members can use their Rapid Rewards points to book qualifying flights, in addition to cash purchases.
