The hidden North Korean missile base near China could put the U.S. in range

The North Koreans have reportedly built a nuclear base that could threaten the USA directly.

Although North Korea state media has not reported that the nation’s soldiers are fighting against Ukraine, rumours are spreading among residents.

Update:

Remember when Donald Trump met Kim Jong Un and the world applauded the orange man for his diplomacy? Well, he got absolutely nothing out of it.

It turns out, according to a new report, that North Korea have built a new missile base that could put their nuclear warheads within range of the continental United States.

The discovery of the base in question, at Sinpung-dong, about 17 miles from the border with China in the North Korean province of North Pyongan, comes at an interesting time.

After Trump abandoned serious diplomacy and settled for empty praise of Kim Jong Un, the regime doubled down on weapons development. Now, Kim has new leverage: deeper ties with Russia, a stronger arsenal, and the ability to threaten the U.S. mainland more credibly than ever.

NBC reported that the base, which could have been fully operational since 2014, ”could contain six to nine of North Korea’s advanced intercontinental ballistic missiles,” while the official report explained that “these missiles pose a potential nuclear threat to East Asia and the continental United States.”

The report said that the weapons at the base could include North Korea’s nuclear-capable Hwasong-15 or Hwasong-18 ICBMs... or a new missile not yet identified by Western analysts.

Current assessments are that during times of crisis or war, these launchers and missiles will exit the base, meet special warhead storage/transportation units, and conduct launch operations from dispersed pre-surveyed sites,” it adds.

As for North Korea’s general nuclear arsenal, the latest estimate from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute puts the number at 50 nuclear warheads along with enough fissile material to produce up to 40 more.

Trump promised to neutralize North Korea’s nuclear threat through bold, unconventional engagement. Instead, his performative theatrics bought Pyongyang time to entrench itself, producing the opposite outcome.

Sinpung-dong is not just a missile base; it’s a monument to how disastrously ineffective Trump’s so-called “art of the deal” proved on the global stage. His withdrawal from the Iran nuclear agreement also appears to have pushed the hermit nation to double down on its own weapons program.
