¡Centavos de dólar que valen miles de dólares! Así son las monedas de 25 centavos que valen hasta $2,500. Descubre si tiene una en tu posesión.

Extra money never hurts anyone... And what better way to make a few thousand dollars than with a simple quarter. American collectors are said to be willing to pay up to $2,500 at auction for a particular 25-cent coin due to a small detail: a printing error on one side of the coin made two decades ago.

Wisconsin Extra Leaf 2004: how do I know if I have one?

The printing error is in a series of 25-cent coins issued in 2004 in the state of Wisconsin.

The main print on the coin is a cow, accompanied by cheese and an ear of corn. These images sit under the legend “Forward ”. The key detail detail is in the open leaves of the corn ear.

Commonly, the cob has two open leaves, however, due to the error, there are certain coins that instead of two open leaves, have three, hence the name: the 2004-D 25C Wisconsin Extra Leaf High. According to specialist website Professional Coin Grading Services (PCGS), the record auction for one of these coins was $2,530.

Despite the fact that this coin can be worth thousands of dollars at auctions and pawnshops, the truth is that not everyone pays for its true value and many sellers end up selling the coins below their real prices, so we recommend you go to a specialist on the subject to avoid scams.
