According to official statistics published in 2023, 37.9 million people of Mexican descent were living in the United States with the figure including immigrants from the Central American country and those who trace their ancestry to Mexico.

The Mexican diaspora make up the largest group of Hispanics living in the US accounting for 60% of its population with Puerto Ricans in second place with 9.5%.

Despite making significant contributions to American society in various fields including culture, business, politics and industry.

Life in the US is ‘boring’

Spanish social media influencer Pedro Prieto interviewed a Mexican residing in the USA who offered his experience of life in the US as part of a recent Tik Tok interview.

The interviewee claimed that life in the US is ‘pretty calm’ and as he’s a busy individual he spends most time between Tijuana and San Diego. He added: ‘Things in Tijuana are a little crazy and San Diego is just too ’nice' for my liking.

He added: ‘the people in the States are like robots and everything is so systemised. I have friends who were born in the US but prefer to live in Mexico.
