Tom Brady, “extremely hurt”: He wants to reconcile with Gisele Bündchen

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen have officially filed for divorce, as of Friday 28 October 2022. The pair filed similar messages on Instagram saying that “co-parenting” would be their priority. In total the couple were married for 13 years; they have two children together, Benjamin (12) and Vivian (9). They also parent Brady’s first child Jack (15), who he had with former girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.

In breaking the news to his followers, Brady said that the couple “arrived at this decision [to divorce] amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together.” Brady said the priority for the couple is their children and that they plan to “work together as parents” to “ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve.”

Brady’s marriage in trouble for some time

New reports circulating claim that Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen’s marriage is hanging by a thread.

The athlete and the supermodel have formed one of the most powerful duos in the entertainment and sports industry for just over a decade; however, that may be about to change.

According to new reports, the pair have contacted their respective lawyers for the divorce. According to Page Six, Gisele and Tom have been living apart “for months” after having an “epic fight,” which was caused by the quarterback’s decision to return to the NFL without consulting his wife.

Amid the divorce reports, a source close to the couple reported for Entertainment Tonight that Tom Brady is “is not taking it well” because “he was hoping” to reconcile with Gisele.

“He wants to reconcile and was still holding out hope that they could work things out. He is extremely hurt and misses Gisele being by his side. He feels abandoned in a way. He loves his family, but also wants to continue his career. He feels like he is in a tough spot,” said a source close to the couple to ET.

While Tom feels abandoned, the source also spoke to Gisele’s perspective, saying that she “feels like Tom has chosen his career over his family, and she is tired of it.” With a husband in the NFL, she feels like she has had to put her own dreams on hold.

“They are weighing their options for their future as a family and thinking about what next steps might look like.”

Gisele threatened Tom with divorce "several" times

Various sources have reported that this is far from the first time the couple has come close to separation. In fact, it has been reported that Bündchen threatened Brady with divorce on “several” occasions due to his football career.

Although the couple managed to solve their problems in the past, most reports indicate that this time is different. With Bündchen allegedly speaking to lawyers, this could indicate that a more serious threat of divorce looms over the pair.
